Valentine’s Day is just around the corner – and whether you’re spending the day with your partner, family, friends or just taking some time for yourself, Kitchener Public Library has you covered!
All your library locations are open on Saturday, February 14 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., as we always are on Saturdays.
And we’ve got fun, free events for everyone! There is no registration required for any of these programs, so your day is perfectly flexible. Just drop in!
Kids’ Club – Take the kids to the Kitchener Market and take a break in the KPL Kids’ Club on the upper level. Stories, songs, and a Valentine craft.
Kitchener Market, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Love is in the Air – Spread a little love with your family and friends. We’ll read heart-warming stories, sing, and create something special to share. All-ages family fun!
Central Library at 10 a.m.
Forest Heights Library at 10:30 a.m.
Grand River Library at 10:30 a.m.
Pioneer Park Library at 2 p.m.
Music in the Lounge: Je t’aime, mon cheri – Join us for the sweet sounds of French romantic music performed by Rick Guzik on accordion, along with a guest violinist. A great performance for all ages.
Central Library at 1 p.m.
Free Flicks: Dear Zachary – This week’s Free Flick for adults and teens is an extraordinary documentary about a man, his son, and his best friend. Feel free to bring your own snacks.
Central Library at 2 p.m.
iPad Studio – Teen fun! Make book trailers, play games, mix music, and create art.
