It’s that time of year: the Best of 2015 lists are coming out. Every newspaper, magazine and website is featuring the critics’s picks of 2015 – the best of fiction, non-fiction, YA, poetry, children’s books . . . the categories are endless.
These lists are a great way to pick up suggestions, track what you’re reading, watching, and listening to compared to the broader culture, and to find holiday gift ideas.
Sharron Smith, manager of bibliographic services at Kitchener Public Library, showcased five of the most popular fiction books of 2015 when she appeared on Daytime 20 last week. If you want more great reading suggestions, Sharron appears on the show every month. (Thanks for having us, Daytime 20!)
Now we want to know: What were your favourite reads of 2015? Was it an old classic that you were immersed in? A picture book you read with children? A heart-racing romance or mystery? The newest literary fiction? A biography or memoir of a interesting person?
Your favourite reads don’t need to be books that were published in 2015 – just tell us what you read and loved, from any genre, in any format, in 2015.
Choose up to 3 titles for each submission, and submit as many times as you like!
Check back in January to find out the community’s favourite reads – we’ll post them on our website at kpl.org under Books & More.
Here are just a very few 2015 lists you might be interested in checking out – and as we near the end of the year, more lists are coming out every day.
